I am up to date on patch's and i have a top of the line pc, so i'll elimate those. If you are lucky enough to kill him the weapon dissapears untill you get someone else to shoot at you. I have gotten to a location where all my weapons dissapear and only come back after you run up to an enemy and get your butt shot off. I've been killed by people you only see after you are dead. I find myself going to a new location and a pulse or what ever you call it is comming and i have 15 seconds to find a non existing hiding place. I do know i've had problems with them before.
